1. Technical Requirements & Backline Specification

1.1 Audio Infrastructure & Inputs

• Stage Left (Audience Right): Guitarist / Track Controller. Signal flows from Headrush FX pedal via 1/4" output to a Direct Box (DI), exiting via XLR to the mixing console.

• Stage Center (Upstage): Drummer. Electronic drum kit outputs via 1/4" line into a Direct Box (DI), exiting via XLR to the mixing console.

• Stage Right (Audience Left): Keyboardist / Vocalist. Keyboard outputs via 1/4" line into a Direct Box (DI), exiting via XLR to the mixing console.

• Microphones: Three (3) Shure SM58 Beta dynamic vocal microphones on three (3) matching boom stands.

1.2 On-Stage Power Distribution

• The band requires exactly one (1) dedicated 3-prong AC outlet on stage.

• The band provides all necessary extension cords, power boxes, and circuit blocks unless explicitly agreed otherwise with the house crew.

2. Dual Operating Modes & Signal Flow Routing

2.1 Setup Option A: Self-Contained Mode (Band PA)

• FOH Speakers: Two (2) Front of House speakers (minimum 1000 Watts RMS).

• Wedge Monitors: Two (2) stage wedge monitors (minimum 300 Watts RMS).

• Console Routing: All elements terminate at the band's Mackie 16S console.

• Backing Tracks: MP3 device 1/8" output splits to Left/Right XLR lines into the Mackie PA console.

• IEM Loop: Right/Left Aux Sends from the Mackie board are routed directly to the drummer's on-stage In-Ear Monitor (IEM) amplifier inputs.

• Subwoofer Sub-Mix: Driven via a dedicated Aux Send out of the Mackie console via XLR directly into the isolated subwoofer cabinet's XLR input.

2.2 Setup Option B: Production Mode (House PA Infrastructure)

• Track Split Routing: The Right MP3 channel routes directly to the House PA backing track input for audience delivery. The Left MP3 channel routes directly into the drummer's personal stage monitor amplifier to feed click/cue tracks.

• Drummer IEM Integration: The drummer's local monitor amplifier acts as a transmitter feeding a wireless pack. To deliver vocals, the house crew must run an XLR Aux Send from the main console into the drummer's Right XLR monitor amplifier input. The house should provide this cable.

• Subwoofer & Low-End Management: The venue controls its own master room subwoofers independently. However, the House FOH engineer must provide an additional, dedicated sub-mix exclusively for the backing track channel to emphasize low-end dance mechanics. The primary front of house mix for the MP3 track must retain standard, flat EQ parameters.

3. Monitor Mix Matrices & Front of House Targets

When performing on a house system, the monitor mixes must strictly abide by the following parameters to ensure performance stability:

Front of House Blend: The house engineer must create a high-energy dance mix blending the backing tracks, live guitar line, electronic drums, and keyboards. All 3 vocal channels must sit cleanly and tastefully highlighted on top of the mix, optimized for maximum clarity against the instrumental background.

4. General Hospitality, Lodging & Transportation Rider

4.1 Financial Structure & Guarantee

The guaranteed payout for this performance is $10,000 USD flat fee, plus all client-covered hospitality, lodging, and transport expenses listed below.

4.2 Overnight Accommodations

The booking client must reserve and pre-pay for exactly two (2) local hotel rooms in Avalon for one night. To allow safe and timely transport of instruments, lodging must be located within comfortable walking distance of the venue (e.g., Catalina Casino Ballroom).

• Room 1 (Premium Class): Hotel Metropole (Approx. $309/night reference) – 1 King Bed.

• Room 2 (Standard Class): Seacrest Inn (Approx. $171/night reference) – 2 Double Beds.

• Check-in Rules: Fully paid room and tax by client. Available for check-in by 3:00 PM on the event date.

4.3 Maritime Transportation & Mainland Parking Logistics

• Ferry Crossings: Client must purchase and provide three (3) round-trip passenger ferry tickets via the Catalina Express or Catalina Flyer lines.

• Freight & Excess Luggage: Client is financially responsible for pre-paying or reimbursing all baggage fees covering heavy instrument vaults, keyboard flight cases, guitars, and electronic drum modules.

• Mainland Parking: Client will fully cover terminal parking costs for up to two (2) vehicles parked at the mainland departure point for the show's entire duration.

• Island Ground Cartage: Client must coordinate or cover local Avalon taxi van or freight service logistics to shuttle equipment and performers safely from the Avalon boat pier to the Catalina Casino Ballroom.

4.4 Green Room Catering & Hospitality Essentials

All hospitality components must be laid out in a private, clean, securely locked dressing room at least two (2) hours prior to soundcheck.

• Hydration & Drinks: One (1) case of chilled, filtered bottled water. Six (6) loose bottles of unchilled room-temperature water for vocal safety. One (1) six-pack of local craft beer/premium IPA. One (1) bottle of high-quality dry red wine (clean corkscrew must be left in room). Full hot coffee/tea station including hot water, lemons, honey, and herbal tea bags.

• Food & Hot Meals: One (1) fresh sliced fruit platter (melons, berries, grapes). One (1) cured charcuterie board with assorted gourmet cheeses, nuts, and crackers. Three (3) fresh hot dinner meals delivered post-soundcheck. Dietary considerations must accommodate at least one (1) clean vegan and gluten-free/allergy-safe menu profile.

• Dressing Room Environment: Three (3) clean, dry bath-sized performance towels (destined for stage use). Comfortable couch or lounge chair infrastructure. Warm accent lamp lighting fixtures to eliminate harsh fluorescent overhead grids. Accessible trash receptacles, full-length mirror, secure door locking keys, and functional Wi-Fi credentials.
